The newborn stage is so fast that you could honestly blink and miss it. It's a whirlwind of love, sleepless nights, midwife appointments and getting to know your new little person!
If you have decided to capture all the wonderful newborn details with a newborn photography session, then it’s worth remembering that the ideal age for wrapped up posed photos is within the first 14 days but if you're looking for minimal posing or a relaxed outdoor session then there is no rush as these sessions can be captured up to 4 months old.
At the beginning of your session we will discuss what you would like from your session and I will work with you to capture the type of images you will want to cherish forever. My sessions are adapted to your preferences - if you have seen a particular photo you love or dislike do let me know - I want you to LOVE your photos so please do not hesitate to tell me! Its best to book your photoshoot in during pregnancy as my diary fills very quickly and using your estimated due date we create a temporary booking which we can confirm or move once baby has arrived - in case baby is early, late or longer recovery is needed.
My newborn shoots are baby led, we go at your baby’s pace, always ensuring that they are content and comfortable, please allow up to 1.5 hours for your lifestyle newborn photography session and up to 1 hour for outdoor sessions. This is to allow us extra time for feeding, peeing, pooping and of course cuddling!
I HIGHLY encourage you to have parent photos done at your session, this is of no extra cost and even though you may not feel your best and may be tired, these are usually the most treasured photos from galleries - no awkward and uncomfortable 'cheese' moment but the emotion and connection between you and your baby in their first days of life.
Lifestyle Newborn Package
These are relaxed sessions done within the comfort of your own home. Baby will have photos on their own either in a mix of posed and natural photos or completely unposed followed by family photos and capturing the beautiful connection between you and your new baby.
- Up to 1.5 hours at home photoshoot
- Use of props, wraps etc. (if baby is under 3 weeks old) and if wanted
- Siblings included; dogs that are comfortable with their new human sibling are also welcome to be included in your photos.

Outdoor Newborn Package
These are super relaxed family focussed sessions and are captured at a location of your choice. There is no pressure for baby to be sleeping, and no rush to capture these sessions in the first weeks either - these sessions can be done anytime up to 4 months old.
Natural photos with no saying 'cheese', just a light adventure together to capture your beautiful baby.
